This article aims to give insights on installing and uninstalling. To install an application software or even hardware is not as difficult as it is thought even though you are not a computer technician or a computer expert. This can be done through a guide. Nonetheless, uninstalling is not as easy as deleting it. This is not the proper way to completely remove any program or application. In your system, some files might not be properly removed; consequently, the application leaves files on your hard disk that also leave possible troubles sometime. Using the delete key is not an appropriate way to delete and neither the add/remove programs: Here are some steps to correctly uninstall any program.
- Add/Remove Programs: When clicking the Control Panel, find the add/remove program. This is the most known application to completely discard a program. In here, you can install and uninstall safely, since it has been started and found in the add/remove program. Click start – control panel – add/remove programs
- Registry Editor: You can completely remove the files just after you had uninstalled the application. The best way to search for the entry and delete registry is through registry editor. This editor doesn’t exist in the start menu but instead in RUN. Click Start – Run and enter “regedit.exe” in the box.
- Uninstall Software: When buying software applications, on the start menu, you can see a dialog of Uninstall because it is included in the folder. However, it doesn’t guarantee you because it may not necessarily remove perfectly. Click Start – Programs – Uninstall.
- Program Files: Once an application was installed, its files are placed inside the windows or system and just leave the executable files in some other system directories. If the application is uninstalled, it sometimes forgot to delete the folders. So it would be better remove the folder even though empty in the program files. Click Start – My Computer – C: – Program Files.
- Disk Cleanup: Inescapably, some unnecessary files or shortcuts can still be found on the disk. To completely get rid of them, you’d better use disk-cleanup.
Click start – Programs – Accessories – systems tools – disk cleanup.
- Lastly, you can have the option of using software called “registry cleaner”. This is
designed specifically to clean up any registry.
