Social networking sites, one of thes most accessed sites on the net

Social Networking sites are websites on the internet where you can get in touch with people from all over the world. Nowadays, this is where most people get updates from their friends real life or online. Here are some reasons why social networking sites gain users from almost all countries around the globe:

First, with just one click of the button you can easily share your status, comments and other things that are running through your mind.

Second, you can meet a lot of people, even if you don’t know them personally. Also, distance is not an issue here because people finder in these social networking sites is accurate enough to search for the people that you are looking for, but of course you have to know his/ her name, or information that are related to him/ her.

Third, it is easy to build friendship in this kind of websites because it only requires keyboard and mouse to type in your replies or comments to one another. And it is not hard to strike a conversation because you have access to your friend’s profile, so you would easily know his/her likes or information about them.

Fourth, there are a lot of stuffs that you can do with social networking sites like play games, chat with your friends, post pictures and videos, you can also use different applications that suits your personality and more.

Fifth, you can also connect your other accounts to your preferred social networking site, for example you want to share something from your twitter account to your facebook, by entering the e-mail address of your facebook, and your twitter post can now be viewed in your facebook account.

Another thing is that these social networking sites can also be a source of income for those people who have businesses online because this is where they get customers and exposure for their business.

These are some of the reasons why people enjoy having an account to these social networking sites such as facebook, twitter, myspace, multiply, and more. However, there are also some things that you have to remember so that you will not be a victim of some cybercrimes that are lurking in the internet:

Avoid posting personal details like cellphone number, home address and the like.

Next, you should always be cautious of what you post on your account like posting a status where you give your current place, pictures that may give bad motives to other users because he/she may be a cyberstalker or cybercriminal.

And of course, always check the background information of the person that is adding you because sometimes those persons are abusive of the advantages that the internet gives them.

They look at how different websites connect to the internet and how users go to the sites that they wish to be connected.

Internet Engineering Task Force. A large open international community of network designers, operators, vendors, and researchers concerned with the evolution of the Internet architecture and the smooth operation of the Internet. It is open to any interested individual.

InterNIC. Provides public information regarding Internet domain name registration services.

PFIR-People for Internet Responsibility. A group of people concerned about the present and future operations, development, management, and regulation of the Internet.

ICANN.org. The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is a technical coordination body for the Internet.
