The only problem with this was most DSL connection are shared in one backbone. Therefore your internet connection is somehow almost similar with an ordinary dial-up during peak hours.
On the other hand, cable broadband maintains its high speed connection regardless of the number of its subscriber. The only problem with this is during storm period or if there is a heavy rain, mostly the connection is being cut by the provider.
